Battlehawks @ Vipers

In Week 5, the Battlehawks suffered a 28-20 defeat at home against the undefeated DC Defenders, leaving them with a record of 0-2 straight up against DC but 3-0 against all other opponents.
In their most recent game, the Vipers secured their first victory of the season with a 35-32 win over the Orlando Guardians. Quarterback Luis Perez threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns while running back Rod Smith rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns. It was an excellent win for the Vegas, but it might be the only one they pick up this season.
The spread in this one is a joke. St. Louis is coming off a loss, but it was against the best team in the league, and now they are visiting the worst team in their division. This is an easy bounce-back spot, and the Battlehawks should stomp out the Vipers.
St. Louis -3 (-110) Under 44.5 (-110)
Roughnecks @ Defenders

The Roughnecks are set to play against the Defenders at Audi Field, which could serve as a preview of the championship game.
This is the matchup we have all been waiting for. The best team in the South, visiting the best team in the North. Prior to last week’s loss, Wade Phillips’ Roughnecks appeared to be the top dog in the league. However, they enter play a game behind DC.
Despite starting the season with low expectations, Reggie Barlow’s Defenders have managed to maintain an unbeaten record at the halfway point of the XFL season. They hope to continue their dominance, but Houston will be a far more formidable foe than anyone else they have faced.
The Defenders have to fall eventually, and it likely happens on Monday. This is going to be a great matchup, but DC will be served their first L of the season. Bettors should, however, take the point to add a little insurance.
Houston +2.5 (-110) Over 42.5 (-110)
