MATCHUP SUMMARY
The Giants disappointed against the Falcons while the Saints looked solid against the Pats. It was a huge letdown for the G-Men and now they head on the road to face a formidable defense. The Saints, while not the offensive powerhouse we have seen the past couple of years, are still trying to piece the offense together. I feel this game resembles what we saw from these teams last week, low scoring and a struggle on offense.
Jamesis Winston has been a disappointment in his first three games, even with 5 Td’s in his opener. He has yet to hit 200 yards passing. A majority of that has to be on injuries at wideout. Winston isn’t throwing to the best receivers. I see the Saints wanting to pound the ball with Alvin Kamara who has seen 20+ attempts in two of three games.
This is a tough matchup for Daniel Jones but keep in mind fantasy wise he wasn’t awful against the Broncos and Football Team, both formidable defenses. Jones can get it done on the ground and will have to play elite for the Giants to stay competitive. Big concern is Sheppard and Slayton both left with hamstring issues and are questionable. If Saquon Barkley gets the job done it’s likely via the air as the Saints are tough against the run.
THE DFS GEMS
Alvin Kamara, Saints- $8,400. Kamara will need to carry the load offensively. He has touchdown upside along with both rushing and receiving yards to go along.
New Orleans defense- $3,800. They have scored 20 and 15 points in two of three games. Jones and the Giants can be turnover prone so this could be another solid spot.
