MATCHUP SUMMARY

We saw another down week from the Washington offense last week as they were only able to register 224 yards total. Washington struggled in the turnover department which led to them being shut out in the first half vs Dallas. They did score two touchdowns late in the game to earn the back door cover and make the game look a lot closer than it was. Terry McLaurin left the game with a concussion and his status will need to be monitored. Adam Humphries led the team in receptions catching 4 passes for 34 yards. Heinicke connected with Cam Sims for a 43-yard touchdown in the 2nd half. Sims would fill in as the big-play threat if McLaurin isn’t able to suit up this week. Antonio Gibson was chalk last week and busted hard only totaling 36 yards rushing on 10 attempts including a lost fumble. There’s not much to love about this Washington team in a low total game on the road vs a solid Philly defense. I will have little to no interest in this team as the spread has already moved 1.5 points in the Eagles favor.

Jalen Hurts missed the last game but is expected to start vs Washington. Gardner Minshew tore it up vs the Jets and if Hurts struggles there is a possibility, he could step in. Hurts is coming off a 3-interception game vs the Giants in his last start and hasn’t thrown for over 200 yards in 5 games now. He has more interceptions (4) to touchdowns (3) in his last 5 games. Hurts does hold big rushing upside though totaling 60+ yards in 5 of his last 6 games. Dallas Goedert had the big game vs the Jets catching all 6 of his targets for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. I look for him to once again lead the team in targets. DeVonta Smith has not flashed much upside this season only recording over 100 yards in 1 of his last 9 games. Miles Sanders averaged over 5 yards a carry for the 5th straight game totaling 120 yards off 24 carries. Sanders has some positive touchdown regression heading his way as he has yet to find the box this season. We need to keep an eye on Sanders as he re-injured his ankle and left in the 4th quarter. The bye week should of helped his cause but we need to monitor his practice reports.

THE DFS GEMS

Dallas Goedert, PHI – $5,300 on DraftKings. Goedert comes off a big game and holds a nice price tag. I look for him to be the main option in the passing game again.

Miles Sanders, PHI – $5,800 on DraftKings. Has been effective on the ground, but we need to monitor his status throughout the week.

Antonio Gibson, WASH – $6,000 on DraftKings. Good flop lag spot for Gibson after he burned many last week as chalk.
