MATCHUP SUMMARY

The Baltimore Ravens (5-2) had a bye week to regroup after their disappointing 41-17 home loss to the Bengals two weeks ago. The loss broke a five-game winning streak as the defense struggled giving up over 500 yards of offense to the Bengals. Lamar Jackson has been outstanding this year and is having an MVP-caliber season. He has thrown for 1,943 yards with 10 touchdowns and also leads the team in rushing with 480 yards. Wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown leads the team in receiving with 37 receptions and 566 yards and 6 touchdowns. Wide receiver Rashod Bateman is a nice value play at $4,000 and is clearly the 3rd option in this offense behind Brown and tight end Marc Andrews. I look for a big offensive game here from the Ravens.

Kirk Cousins continued his struggles in prime time when the Vikings (3-4) lost at home to the Cowboys on Sunday night 20-16. Cousins completed 23 of 35 passes for only 184 yards and a touchdown. He will look to get back on track this week against a Ravens defense that ranks 32nd in the league in pass-defense. This should be a great game script for the passing game with Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen both being popular targets this week. Star RB Dalvin Cook has been battling an ankle injury but returned last week to get 18 carries for 78 yards.

THE DFS GEMS

Lamar Jackson, BAL – $7,300 on DraftKings. Just feels too cheap this week coming off a bye in a high total game.

Marquise Brown, BAL – $6,000 on DraftKings. Never seems to get priced up on DK. Easy plug & play to pair with Lamar.

Justin Jefferson, MIN – $7,500 on DraftKings. Jefferson has been relatively quiet last few weeks. Gets a great matchup here against the Ravens poor pass defense.
