UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Font Best Bets

Bet #1: Diego Lopes ITD +120 – Risk 1 Unit (DraftKings)

Lopes looked solid in his UFC debut against Evloev. A fight he took on short notice. Even though he lost that fight he showed a lot of promise. He’s a durable kid with some good scrambling ability. He’s crafty and 19 of his 21 pro wins have all come inside the distance. He’s taking on Gavin Tucker who I think has a solid skill set. He’s well rounded but I think his wrestling is his best attribute. The issue with Tucker is that he’s 37 years old and he’s coming off a 2 year lay off where he got knocked out cold by Dan Ige. Lopes is 9 years younger, has a 5 inch height and a 6 inch reach advantage and even though I think Tucker has the better wrestling, Lopes is incredibly dangerous off his back. I think Lopes eventually hurts Tucker and is able to get the finish.

Bet #2: Jake Hadley ITD +120 – Risk 1 Unit (DraftKings)

Really fun fight here between two guys who don’t seem to like each other. We pretty much know who Cody Durden is at this point. He is a collegiate level wrestler and utilizes that very well in the UFC. He averages 5.7 takedowns per 15 minutes. We also know that Cody has about 1 round in him before he completely gasses. He is always going to be live in the first round. Round 2 and 3 he is often looking very labored and will shoot sloppy takedowns. Hadley is also a guy with some good grappling upside. He’s likely not the better wrestler in this spot but I think his Jiu-Jitsu is better than Durdens.Hadley should hold a considerable advantage on the feet, specifically utilizing his leg kicks. He throws heavy kicks. Unlike Durden, Hadley is shown to have some cardio as well. We’ve seen him go full 5 rounds before and looked good the whole way. Durden is going to be very live early. He will likely be able to take Hadley down but if Durden isn’t able to finish him in round 1, I think Hadley will smoke him the rest of the way. Durden will slow down significantly later in this fight and Hadley will be able to take advantage. I like Hadley to pull away and finish this inside the distance
