Thursday Night Football – Week 14

Raiders @ Rams

The Raiders head to Los Angeles to open up Week 14 with a battle against the Rams.

At this point, the Rams are playing just to find the end of the season. Their playoff hopes left a long time ago, and they have looked even worse without Matt Stafford. While the addition of Baker Mayfield is indicative of a team that is trying to tank, the Rams have traded away all their pick and have no reason to improve their draft standing.

As for the Raiders, they have rattled off three straight wins and suddenly find themselves in the hunt for a playoff spot. While they would have to win out to even have a chance… crazier things have happened.

Best Bets

It’s Thursday Night Football, so the under is automatically in play. While the Raiders’ point totals have been all over the place, ranging from 0 to 40 in just their past six games, it will likely fall in the high 20s as that is what the Rams typically allow.

However, it’s the Rams’ offense that makes this a solid play. At this point, it’s unclear who will be under center for LA, but there is a very good chance it’s Baker.

No matter who it is, the Raiders should be able to hold the Rams to two touchdowns or less.

Under 42.5 (-110)

While it seems crazy to bet the Raiders as such a hefty favorite, I just don’t see the Rams putting up very many points in this game. The Raiders may only need 20 points to cover this spread.

After Carr’s emotional speech, something changed in the locker room, and they have played great even since. So while this feels like too many points, Rams +7 feels like a silly bet.

Raiders -7 (-110)

Best Prop

Josh Jacobs has been a workhorse this season, eclipsing 100 yards in six of the Raiders’ last nine games; he currently leads the league in rushing with 1,303 yards.

Stats are typically down in Thursday games, but even if Jacobs leaves half his game in Vegas, he should still manage to hit his prop.

Josh Jacobs Over 89.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
All the parlay players out there can add a TD to the play for a (+168) payout.
