THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SHOWDOWN: BEARS AT COMMANDERS

Bears (19.5) AT Commanders (25.5)

QB

Justin Fields enters off his best game last week after a rough start to the season. Fields torched the horrible Broncos defense last week throwing for 335 yards yards, completing 80% of his passes. This was his best game to date throwing the ball. We still haven’t seen Fields use his legs and rack up rushing yards like we did last year. Priced at 11K he will be in both Captain and Flex pools for me. Fields has a rushing prop of 47.5 yards and a passing prop of 193.5.

Sam Howell is priced at only 9.4K for this matchup. Howell has been in the 17-21 DK point range in 3 of 4 starts this year and is a great cash option. I would rather play Howell in the Flex position but this Bears defense has been getable. Chicago has allowed 21+ DK points to every QB faced this season. Howell has a passing prop of 241.5 and a rushing prop of 13.5 yards.

RB

The Bears have a pair of backs in Khalil Herbert 8.6K and Roschon Johnson 4.8K. It had been a fairly even split between both back and somewhere waiting for Johnson to take over the backfield. Last week Herbert played a season-high 56/72 snaps carrying the ball 18 times for 103 yards adding in 4 catches for 19 yards and a touchdown. Johnson only played on 16 of 72 snaps with only 6 touches for 15 yards. I think both backs possess solid upside depending on who gets the most snaps this week. I would play both in the Flex and Herbert in the Captain spot. Herbert has a rush/rec prop of 62.5 and Johnson is at 33.5.

On the Commanders side of the ball I really like the upside Brian Robinson has at 9.2K. I think Robinson has the ability to lead the slate in points scored and will be a Captain play for me vs. this poor Bears defense. The Bears defense is allowing an average of  33.2 DK points to the RB position through 4 games. Robinson has a rush/rec prop of 75.5 and Gibson has a 35.5 prop. Gibson has been playing around half the snaps but hasn’t shown any upside yet but at 3.2K I will have some flex exposure to him.

WR

The Bears exploited the Broncos through the air last week. DJ Moore priced at 10K reached 100+ yards for the second time in three games last week catching 8 for 131 and a touchdown. Moore is in play for both the Captain and Flex positions. Darnell Mooney’s snaps have bumped up in his last 3 games and last week caught all 4 targets for 51 yards. Equanimeous St. Brown looks like a great value option at only 1.8K as he played on 42/72 snaps last week. St. Brown only saw 1 target catching it for 21 yards but was out there running routes and should be the team’s WR3. Tyler Scott is the minimum $200 and has played 10+ snaps each game and is a dart thrown for large field GPPs. Props – DJ Moore 50.5, Mooney 30.5.

On the Commanders side of the ball, I have been high on Jahan Dotson since he came out of college and really like the price tag here for his upside in GPPs. Dotson saw 9 targets last week only catching 4 for 27 yards and that late touchdown. Terry McLaurin priced at 10.2K seems a bit high for me but I will still have some exposure in the Flex spot but most likely be underweight. Curtis Samuel priced at 5.6K looks to be a great value and his game sets up well for DK. Samuel caught 7 of 8 targets last week for 51 yards and even had a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Props – McLaurin 59.5, Dotson 42.5, Samuel 32.5 yards.

TE

Cole Kmet has a nice value tag here at 6.4K. I think Kmet could make the Captain pool for me tonight as he is a guy Fields likes to look for, especially in the RedZone. Kmet caught 7 of 9 targets last week for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns. Last year Kmet had a couple of 20+ point games and last week he put up 27.6 DK points. Kmet has a prop of 32.5 yards, which he has gone over in 3 of 4 games this season.

Logan Thomas price tag of 5.2K seems a little high for me but should catch 3-5 passes in this game. He looks to be a solid Flex play for me tonight. Thomas has a prop of 27.5 yards.

DEF/K

The Washington defense is priced up to 5.4K and I will be off of them and this Bears defense has been bad this season keeping me off of them as well. I think we see points in this game and lean towards the over so I will have both Kickers in my Flex pools. We get a fair price for both kickers in the low to mid 4Ks. I will most likely have around 15-30% of the kickers.

SNYDER MAIN CORE

Brian Robinson (CAPT) + Justin Fields + Cole Kmet
