MATCHES

Croatia (+140) vs Scotland (+175)

Both Teams To Score: -140

Location: Glasgow

Probable Set Piece Takers: Luka Modric (CROATIA) / Andrew Robertson (SCOTLAND)

Czech Republic (+750) vs England (-250)

Both Teams To Score: +110

Location: London

Probable Set Piece Takers: Vladimir Darida, Jakub Jantko (CZECH REPUBLIC) / Bukayo Saka, Luke Shaw, Kalvin Phillips (ENGLAND)

Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell are isolating from the squad and it’s expected that Phil Foden will not be in the XI, opening the door for potential set piece takers that we haven’t seen before for England. Depending on who starts, Bukayo Saka or Jadon Sancho will be extremely strong plays and be great to look at on this slate after the terrible Enngland performance against Scotland last time out. I will be targeting them heavy, along with continuing to go back to Harry Kane I think Southgate is hearing the noise and will see England put together an explosive display of attacking footy that we should become accustomed to under better management. I’d have no interest in the fullbacks outside Luke Shaw or Kieran Trippier with the chance for sets, Kyle Walker just doesn’t get forward enough for me and those other two if starting have good upside with a chance of sets. One last name I will throw out is Jack Grealish, he will get fouled plenty and boast a great floor, he always dazzles when out there and is awesome to play everytime.

I will be fading Czech Republic for the most part, I trim the slate usually on these 2 gamers where I expect dominance in one match and a shootout in the other so fading Czech Republic for the most part. Here’s to Patrick Schick in a tough matchup getting ownership. I am all in on the fade here.

Only one of Scotland and Croatia will go through. The crowd will be rambunctious in Scotland and boast a clear home field advantage for the Scots. I will be backing Andrew Robertson heavily here as will most people. I expect big things for Che Adams who impressed against England and likely will be exposed to him. John McGinn has impressed for me and will be someone to look at as well, and as we build closer to lock I will have a better idea how to approach this match.

Croatia may shake up the lineup just a tad. Just one point in their first two matches has to sting after their performance in the last World Cup. Luka Modric is still a top play and if they get down early I could see the highest floor on the slate being him and this would open the game up a ton. I have interest in Nikola Vlasic and Ivan Perisic as well for tournaments and will be fancying them. For value in the midfield, Mateo Kovacic will be someone to look at, As well as Josip Juranovic at fullback for the cheap tag as well, could be awesome to see and allow for really fun builds.
