MATCHUP SUMMARY
Houston has been competitive their last two games against Dallas and Kansas City despite having the worse record in the league. The defense has been solid with a make shift offense. Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins could be back. The Titans are headed the wrong way, losers of four in a row. They are now battling with Jacksonville for the division lead. Those two teams play in week 18 which could be for the division title. It will be cold during the game, around 20 degrees but limited wind.
The Titans have allowed three teams to exceed 100 total yards rushing. This will squarely put the pressure on Davis Mills to be the leader. With Collins and Cook potentially back, combined with Chris Moore, Davis will potentially have his best game set up all year. On top of that the Titans are horrible against the pass. The biggest issue for Davis has been having healthy wideouts and his own inability to protect the ball. This could end up being a sneaky stack using Davis and two of his wideouts. This route saves you money for other “studs” and on paper has upside. I have no interest in the running game for Texas.
Big news here is will Ryan Tannehill play or will Malik Willis lead the team. Early reports are Tannehill will sit and Vegas has adjusted as the line was +8. Ryan playing provides the Titans with some glimmer of a passing game. If Willis leads the team he has shown no ability to throw the ball in his appearances this season. Willis did lead the Titans to a 17-10 win against Texas earlier in the season. Either way for me it’s Derrick Henry or nothing. Henry has owned the Texans over his career. He went for 200+ earlier this season. He will definitely be a popular play as he looks to repeat that performance.
THE DFS GEMS
Derrick Henry, Titans-$8,600 Great play against a team he has dominated over his career. Question is how many people will run it back with Texans?
Davis Mills, Texans-$5,100 Weather issues in other games could bring people to play Davis. He hasn’t had a 3 TD game this year and only 20+ points once but the game on paper sets up well for him.
Nico Collins, Texans-$4,400 Is he the pivot off Moore if he returns or will Moore be the pivot. I feel the two are in the best situations and it’s feasible to play both if Cook’s is out.
