MATCHUP SUMMARY
Heading into Week 4 at Green Bay, Ben Roethlisberger appears to be the epitome of the Quarterback falling off a cliff. Clearly injured, he managed 19 dump-off targets to promising rookie Najee Hines but little else in a home loss to the rival Bengals. Still, with another week to heal and facing a Green Bay defense that has yielded 83 points through its first three games, the pricing for the Steelers is intriguing for large-field tournaments. Diontae Johnson returns for Week 4 but Chase Claypool has been ruled out, narrowing the target tree for the team that attempted 58 passes in a chase script last week.
The Packers have rebounded nicely from Week 1’s disappointing shellacking at the hands of the Many Saints of New Orleans, trouncing Detroit at home and coming away with an impressive road win last Sunday night in San Francisco. The Steelers have been good but not great defensively in the last two weeks due to some key defensive injuries but will at least get T.J. Watt back which is a huge addition. The best way to attack the Steelers looks to be through the air but it still sets up as a moderately paced, mediocre matchup for DFS on the Green Bay side.
THE DFS GEMS
DIONTAE JOHNSON, PIT – $6200 on DraftKings. Big Ben’s favorite target when healthy, the athletic wideout saw 22 targets in the first two games. He’s slightly underpriced for the volume he can expect to see.
NAJEE HARRIS, PIT – $6800 on DraftKings. He finally got the breakout game and a price hike, but he saw 28 touches and 19 passing targets last week and the Pack defense was just picked apart by the third and fourth string backs from San Francisco.
DAVANTE ADAMS, GB – $7900 on DraftKings. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is out, and I’d rather take advantage of definitive increased volume to Adams, who saw 18 targets last game, than guess which one of Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb or others may see slight upticks.
