Sunjae Im -110 vs Hideki Matsuyama  *2 units*
Sunjae is picking up right where he left off in 2020 with a solid showing at the TOC finishing in 5th place. Im was dialed in with the irons gaining 5.2 strokes approach and 9.5 strokes T2G. He did struggle on the greens losing 3.2 strokes or else he might have won the event. Sunjae has had good success here at Waialae gaining over 5 strokes in both trips. He even has putted well here gaining over 2 strokes in both appearances. Hideki really struggles on Bermuda grass and lost 9.7 strokes putting last week. He finished DFL last week and even struggled with his irons some. When we look at his history at the Sony Open it’s not that great as he has lost strokes putting in 6 of his 7 trips. These golfers are going in completely different directions and I see a lot of value with Im here at only -110.
Sebastian Munoz -110 vs Jason Kokrak  *1 unit*
Munoz opened the event with a 75 and was sitting in last place. He rallied big on his next 3 rounds tho shooting 66-67-68 making only 1 bogey the rest of the way and jumping inside the top 20. Munoz ranks near the top in T2G and BoB over the past 24 rounds and plays the best on Bermuda greens. I like the momentum Munoz is riding here and has a 10th place finish here in 2019. Kokrak is coming off the TOC where he lost strokes across the board totaling 5.7 lost total. He finished 2020 with 2 missed cuts and really doesn’t have the best of course history. Munoz is the play here in this matchup.
Collin Morikawa -150 vs Abraham Ancer  *1 unit*
Morikawa was great in 2020 taking down 2 events and added in a 2nd place and 3 other top 10 finishes. Collin shot a couple of 8 under rounds last week en route to a 7th place finish. One of the best ball strikers on tour and ranks 6th in SG APP which sets him up great for this track. Ancer on the other hand ranks 73rd in approach over the past 24 rounds. This course should fit him well also but I don’t feel he has the same upside and ceiling as Morikawa does. Last week Ancer lost 5.4 strokes T2G and 2.3 OTT while his putter carried him to a 17th place finish gaining a whopping 6.7 strokes putting. Ancer typically hasn’t been that good on Bermuda grass and I don’t think that putting can keep up this week. There is quite a bit of juice here we are laying but I feel Morikawa is such a better golfer and you don’t pay juice when you win.
