MATCHUP SUMMARY
Seattle trudges into Santa Clara following a fairly one-sided loss in Minnesota. The key offensive pieces here are already banged up with Chris Carson exiting last week’s game for a bit, Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf both appearing on the injury report for most of this week, and Gerald Everett placed on the COVID IR. Carson, Lockett and Metcalf are expected to play in this pivotal NFC West matchup, but the team has been open about wanting to limit Carson’s touches to keep him healthy. Tight End Will Dissly will draw the start and likely be a popular punt on DraftKings at just $2600.
Despite one of the highest totals on the board this week, I look forward to nothing less than rostering 49ers in DFS. Kyle Shanahan continually tries to outsmart the opposition and himself and the team is beyond secretive about player health and game status. Eli Mitchell and George Kittle are Questionable for this game and their availability may not be known until after the main slate locks. It’s a tough situation to read, but getting the right pieces here could be the key to this slate. If Mitchell misses, Trey Sermon will be in a tasty spot against the weak Seahawks’ rush defense. Kittle missing would increase my interest in underpriced Deebo Samuel even more.
THE DFS GEMS
DEEBO SAMUEL, SF – $6500 on DraftKings. The clear top target in this San Francisco offense with 30 targets through the first three games. A 15+ target game is not out of the question if Kittle is ruled out.
DK METCALF, SEA – $7200 on DraftKings. Will be lower owned than Lockett and appears to be the healthier of the two.
WILL DISSLY, SEA – $2600 on DraftKings. With Everett out, Lockett injured and Carson’s snaps limited, this could be a play with huge upside and not just a pure punt.
