Welcome everyone to your Run Pure Sports DFS Daily Breakdown. Today we will be previewing Monday’s seven game slate in the NBA. The idea of this article will be to give you a quick glance at the games each day and provide the spreads & totals of each game along with overnight injury news and potential DFS targets.

MAVERICKS (115) -6.5, 223.5 @ MAGIC (108.5)

The Dallas Mavericks (16-16) travel to Orlando to take on the Magic (13-21). The Mavericks are coming off a huge 17 point road win in Brooklyn on Saturday night. The Nets did play that game without all-stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. The Mavs were led by Luka Doncic who recorded a 27/6/7 stat line and the team welcomed back Kristaps Porzingis to the lineup with 18 points in 25 minutes. The Magic will again rely on their leading scorer Nikola Vucevic who comes in averaging 24.4 ppg. Orlando has lost 3 games in a row after winning their previous 3.

The Indians Pacers (15-17) go on the road to take on the Philadelphia 76’ers (22-12). The Pacers have been struggling of late losing 3 games in a row and 4 of their last 5. Malcolm Brogdon (knee) sat out the road loss to the Knicks last time out. The 76’ers meanwhile are coming off a disappointing home loss to the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers 112-109 in overtime on Saturday night. The 76’ers will look to rebound from the loss to the Cavs and rely heavily on Joel Embiid who finished with 42 points and 13 rebounds in that loss to the Cavs, He is currently 2nd in the league in scoring at 30 ppg.

The Utah Jazz (27-7) will take their league best record on the road to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans (14-19). The Jazz are off to its best start in franchise history and have been on fire winning 12 of their last 14 games and are fresh off a 15 point road win at Orlando. The Jazz have been led by Donovan Mitchell (24.5 ppg) as he is coming off back to back 30+ points against Orlando and Miami, The Pelicans on the other hand have been an up and down team in February. They are coming off back to back road losses to Milwaukee and San Antonio. They are led in scoring by Zion Williamson (25.5 ppg) and Brandon Ingram (24.2 ppg). Williamson is coming off a 23 point, 14 rebound effort against the Spurs.

The Denver Nuggets (18-15) travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls (15-17). These are 2 of the top 5 scoring teams in the league. The Nuggets are coming off a 30 point road win at Oklahoma City. In that game Nikola Jokic recorded a triple double (19/11/13) in only 30 minutes of action. Michael Porter Jr has come alive the last few games and has recorded double doubles in each of his last 3 games. For the Bulls it has been all about Zach Lavine. He comes in 6th in the league in scoring at 28.7 ppg and has been the go to guy night in and night out for the Bulls. As a team the Bulls have won 5 of their last 7 games.

The Brooklyn Nets (22-13) travel to Texas to take on the San Antonio Spurs (17-12). The Nets had been on quite a roll winning 8 straight games but then ran into the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday and lost by 17 at home playing without Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Durant has missed 10 of his last 11 games. The Spurs come into this game winners of 6 of their last 8 games and welcomed back DeMar DeRozan to the lineup against New Orleans on Saturday and he didn’t disappoint getting 32 points and a season high 11 assists in his return. The Spurs have defeated the Nets 17 straight games in San Antonio dating back to Jan. 22, 2002.

ROCKETS (111) -4.5, 217.5 vs CAVALIERS (106.5)

The Cleveland Cavaliers (13-21) travel to Houston to take on the Rockets (11-21). The Cavs come into this game fresh off arguably their best win of the season on the road against Philadelphia on Saturday night 112-109 in overtime. They have now won 3 games in a row after losing 10 games in a row. Collin Sexton continues to impress on a nightly basis. He has scored over 20 points in 8 straight games and is the go to guy on this Cavs team. On the Houston side, things have not gone so well this month. Back on Feb 4th their record stood at 11-10 but since then have lost 11 games in a row. Chris Wood has been sidelined since Feb 4th and Victor Oladipo just came back a few games ago. The Rockets have been led by John Wall who has really been the only consistent player on a nightly basis.

TRAIL BLAZERS (121) -6, 236 vs HORNETS (115)

The Charlotte Hornets (16-17) travel to Portland to take on the Trailblazers (18-14). The Hornets come into this game on a back to back after stunning the Kings last night in Sacramento 127-126. PJ Washington had a career high 42 points and 9 rebounds. Devonte Graham has been sidelined since Feb 14th and it looks like he will be out until after the all star break. In his absence there have been many guys step up but probably none better than than Malik Monk. He has scored over 20+ points in 5 of the 6 games since the Graham injury. Portland has been led on most nights by their all-star guard Damian Lillard. He comes into this game 6th in the NBA in scoring at 29.8 ppg and is always a solid go to DFS player. Gary Trent and Carmelo Anthony are guys who have been asked to fill in due to the injuries to CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic.
