MATCHUP SUMMARY
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens head into Denver on a two game winning streak despite losing key pieces of their secondary and defensive line to season-ending injuries and health protocols. This is a difficult matchup against a revamped Broncos defense at altitude; add in the backfield committee and greasy fingers of Jackson’s receiving crew and the Ravens offensive plays seem even less interesting on the main slate.
The Broncos are 3-0, having defeated league doormats Giants, Jaguars and Jets who are collectively 0-10. Still, it’s a good start and now Teddy Bridgewater and crew get a matchup against the Ravens’ defense that has allowed big games to the Raiders’ and Chiefs’ passing attacks. Denver’s key receivers are all priced in the mid-range with Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant being my favorites here. Melvin Gordon is Questionable and should he miss Javonte Williams would become an intriguing punt at just $5,000 on DraftKings.
THE DFS GEMS
COURTLAND SUTTON, DEN – $5700 on DraftKings. Forced to play a bigger role in the offense sooner than Vic Fangio desired due to injuries to Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler but looks fully healthy and has the speed to get behind this defense.
NOAH FANT, DEN – $4300 on DraftKings. The numbers suggest that the Baltimore defense has been the softest matchup for Tight Ends in the league so far, but keep in mind two of those games featured Darren Waller and Travis Kelce. Still, this is a cheap tag for a receiving Tight End that has seen 17 targets over the first three games.
