.500 week last week with my PrizePicks picks; so there were several combinations bettors could have used to cash. That’s good, but going for perfect this week.
New York Mets @ Oakland Athletics
The A’s brutally upset the Mets and Jacob deGrom last night. deGrom allowed five runs in four innings of work, by far his worst outing this season. It will be up to Max Scherzer to make sure that doesn’t happen two nights in a row.
Being in a tight division race, the Mets can’t afford to lose games to a team like Oakland. So the Mets will be doing their best to build a lead before they go to Atlanta Friday.
If deGrom can’t get it done, Scherzer is an excellent second option. Scherzer is a K king, and the A’s are a top ten strikeout team. So bettors can expect Mad Max to sit down their whole lineup.
Max Scherzer Over 7 Strikeouts
Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees
Aaron Judge has been chasing 61 since Wednesday. His bat looked good Wednesday, his eyes were strong Thursday, — walking three times — but he’s been chasing this week, being put down on strikeout four times. However, I believe today is the day. It would be so sweet for him to hit his sixty-first homerun against the Red Sox, and this is his last chance.
Even if he doesn’t go yard today, he’s due for a multi-hit game, so PrizePicks has the perfect offering for bettors.
Aaron Judge Over 1.5 Bases
Los Angeles Rams @ Arizona Cardinals
This is an intriguing game, as both teams have been underperforming so far into the season. The outcome of this game could go either way, as both teams need to get back on track.
The Rams’ defense has been indicative of their team’s overall performance. They have looked strong in some areas, yet they allowed 31 points to the Rams and 27 points to the Falcons. Their secondary has allowed most of those points, but they’re second in interceptions. If they can tighten up in certain areas, they will again be dangerous.
So, averaging two INTs a game, they can be counted on for one against Murray.
Kyler Murray Over .5 Interceptions
San Francisco 49ers @ Denver Broncos
Jimmy G is making his first start of the season here on Sunday Night Football. He’s going up against a Russell Wilson who has not been meeting expectations this season. Garoppolo has a career record of 1 – 5 against Wilson.
I believe Trey Lance’s ankle injury may be the best thing to happen to the 49ers this season, and that’s not as hot of a take as it may seem. Vegas seems to agree, as San Francisco’s Super Bowl odds increased after Garoppolo was named the stater — that ain’t happening to Green Bay if Rodgers goes down.
Garoppolo had trouble finding his groove after being thrown into the game last week. However, I fully expect him to go off tonight and show there was no reason for Lance ever to have been the starter of this team.
