PrizePicks Flex Play of the Day – 5/5/23 (NHL, MLB, and NBA)

Deandre Ayton Under 31 Fantasy Score

Deandre Ayton did not look sharp in either Game 1 or Game 2. He had no answers for Jokic, and as a result he was embarrassed in the paint. Returning home, the Suns hope he can his stride and help his team out, but based on what we saw in those first two games, bettors should not have high expectations for the big man.

Max Fried Under 1.5 Walks

Baltimore has risen to a frontrunner in this young MLB season. A team that typically spends its days in the bottom of the AL East is now in second place behind the deadly Rays. The Orioles will try to improve their positioning, which will be challenging as they open a series with the Braves.

Max Fried is on the bump tonight and has some of the best control in the league. So while Baltimore is one of the league leaders in walks, Fried is not liable to give up more base on balls just because of who he is facing.

Brent Burns Over 3.5 Shots on Goal

After a highly disappointing Game 1, we’re back in action in North Carolina. Despite the Hurricanes picking up a 5-1 victory, the usual suspects did not take the number of shots they typically do. Luckily that was not the hinge leg for that day’s Flex Play.

We continue on today and hope to see more productions out of Carolina’s top players. Burnsie is one of the many players lacking in Game 1, so it is reasonable to expect him to be back on things today. He averaged 4.5 shots per game in round 1, so that’s the kind of number bettors should expect from him today.
