PrizePicks Flex Play of the Day: 5/23/23

Spencer Strider + Nathan Eovaldi Over 15 Pitcher Strikeouts

These are two strikeout fiends. Strider has sat down 7+ in every start this season, going as high as 13 against the Marlins.

For straight bettors, it’s worth noting that he has cashed the over on his K prop in seven of his nine starts.

So while he can cover the majority of the 15 himself, Eovaldi is a solid pairing for Strider. Eovaldi’s totals have ranged from 5 to 12, so as long as both guys don’t bottom out, this should be a sweat-free play.

Jaylen Brown Under 23.5 Points

Jaylen Brown is done with the Celtics.

Boston’s season will end tonight, but Brown checked out after Game 1.

While he didn’t cash his point prop in any game this series, it has become progressively worse as the series has gone on. Brown had 22 points in Game 1, 16 points in Game 2, and 12 in Game 3; with this trend, we can expect single digits tonight. While it likely won’t be that bad, he still won’t come anywhere near 24.

Jake Oettinger Under 26.5 Goalie Saves

The Stars host the Golden Knights for Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals tonight. Vegas edged out Dallas in the first two games, but being on home ice, the Stars have a chance to turn the series around.

Games 1 and 2 went to overtime, Dallas played tough in Nevada, but being at home, they should take the win in regulation tonight. So expecting this game to only go 3 periods, Oettinger should be fine keeping his save total low.

Dallas’ defense has been tremendous, and even with the last game taking extra time, Oettinger cashed the under. Easy hockey play for tonight.
