PrizePicks Flex Play of the Day – 5/2/23 (MLB, NBA, and NHL)

LeBron James Under 26.5 Points & Stephen Curry Under 31.5 Points

Game 1 kicks off tonight between the Lakers and the Warriors. It’s the most anticipated series of the second round, but given how the first round finished off, bettors should not expect too much from the top two guys.

Curry is coming off a 50-point performance in Game 7 against the Kings. It was a thing of beauty, but guys typically falter in Game 1 when coming off a game like that.

As for LeBron, his point totals have just been disappointing in these playoffs. In six games against the Grizzlies, only once did he top 25 points — it was 28 in Game 2.

AD and Klay should step it up to help their teams claim the first game tonight, but there is no telling who will come out on top.

Auston Matthews Under 4.5 Shots on Goal

Matthews was a stud in that first series against the Lightning. In the final four games of that series, Matthews was responsible for 5 of the 15 goals Toronto scored. While his stats have been spectacular, his approach has been far more calculated. He is putting few pucks on the net, but more of them are breaking the crease.

Matthews will likely kick off Game 1 with a goal, but he’ll do it in less than four shots.

Bryce Elder Over 4.5 Strikeouts Thrown

Brye Elder has been a standout for Atlanta this season. There were questions about the backend of this rotation coming into the year, but Elder has been tremendous in that fifth slot.

Elder is averaging just over 5 Ks a start, but bettors can catch the line as 4.5 due to his recent performance against Miami. Last time out, Elder only had three strikeouts in five innings of work, but he has a chance to redeem himself as the Braves kick off yet another series with the Marlins tonight.

Atlanta has won 12 of their last 15 games against the Marlins, outscoring them 80 to 44. Atlanta should smash tonight.
