PrizePicks Flex Play of the Day – 5/13/23 (MLB, NBA, & NHL)

Rough outing yesterday with 2 Ls and a push. While my bets are hot, bettors may consider fading my PrizePicks.

Jayson Tatum Over 39.5 Points

Tatum has not been the player the Celtics hoped he would be in this series. After averaging 30 points in the regular season, he has failed to score 30 in four of the six games played in this series. Being at home tonight for Game 7, they will need more out of him.

The 76ers missed their chance to close out the series at home in Game 6, and now they face the daunting challenge of winning a Game 7 on the road. Philly is 5-9 in Game 7s and 1-7 when it’s on the road. So history is on the Celtics’ side, but they will need Tatum to step up.

Bryce Elder Under 4 Strikeouts

Although Elder has exceeded four strikeouts in the majority of his seven starts, the Blue Jays are not a team that strikes out.

I was tempted to take the over, as Elder has eclipsed that number in four of his seven starts, but I’m taking a different angle and fading myself for this one. More than likely he will end up with exactly four, so worst case, it’s a push.

Philipp Grubauer + Jake Oettinger Under 0.5 Goals Allowed in the First 8 Minutes

This series has featured some high-scoring games, but the vast majority of the scoring has come in the second period. We have seen some first-period goals; they have come closer to intermission.

This game should feature slightly more defense, and both teams should be playing tight to open up as the Kraken try to avoid elimination. Plus, one of these games should have the under hit, and who knows, maybe it’s tonight.
