PrizePicks Flex Play of the Day – 5/12/23 (MLB, NBA, & NHL)

We were a solid 2-0-1 yesterday , so we’ll run it back today.

LeBron Over 9 Rebounds

This is my favorite play on the day. Anthony Davis is expected to play today, but the kind of impact he will have with a hurt foot is unclear. While it could be his flu game, I wouldn’t bet on that with this china doll.

James will have to get his hands dirty in the paint if AD is less than 100 percent. However, this is a safe play as James has recorded 9+ rebounds in three of their five games against the Warriors. So while the prop is inflated by one with the Davis news, James shouldn’t have trouble claiming ten boards.

Graham Ashcraft Over 4 Strikeouts

Ashcraft was lit up by the White Sox his last time out, allowing eight runs — doubling his season total — and didn’t make it out of the second inning. Despite that, he still notched three Ks. Bad starts happen, and outside of that appearance, he has been a standout this season, improving significantly over his rookie year.

He has a perfect bounce-back spot today, taking on the Marlins, and with that strikeout total being so low, it’s a can’t-miss play.

Connor McDavid + Jack Eichel Under 7.5 Shots on Goal

While we have taken the over on several of these types of play, I have decided they are sucker bets. Plus, this number is way high, given their averages. So while this is the first time I am taking the under on a combo shots on goal prop, we’ll likely see the over cash for the first time.

However, as stated, the averages don’t add up. Combined, they are averaging almost exactly seven per game. So while it should be close, the under is still the smart play.
