PrizePick Picks 11/9/22

Sydney Crosby Under 3 Shot on Goal

One of the greatest rivalries in hockey is renewed tonight as the Penguins head to the Capital.

Both teams need to step up, as the Blue Jackets are the only cushioning keeping these teams from being last in the Metropolitan Division.

This is their first matchup on the season, and the Penguins are looking to bounce back after losing the series last year.

It’s no secret that Crosby is an efficient player, he has six goals in twelve games this season, but he is only averaging three shots per game. In his last five games against the Capitals, only once did he land 3+ shots. Washington knows how to get the best of Crosby, and at worst, bettors are looking at a push in this one.

Rickard Rakell Over 2.5 Shots on Goal

Rickard Rakell has been an incredible addition to this team. He is an absolute force on the second line and is tied with Malkin having five goals through twelve games.

Rakell is still looking for his first goal in November, and part of that struggle may come from a lack of shots. He averaged over four shots per game in October, and he is only averaging two in November.

Bettors can expect a turnaround for Rakell, and he’ll make his mark on this rivalry.

Jayson Tatum Under 27.5 Points

The Celtics have an easy game tonight against Detroit, and while Tatum could destroy them by himself, bettors should expect him to see minimal minutes as long as the Celtics can take care of business in the first half.

The most comparable game was their matchup against Orlando, but the Magic kept it close and Tatum went for 40. There is no reason to think this game will be close, and Tatum should not play much in the second half.

That is the pure logic for this pick, so if you disagree and think Detiort keeps it close, feel free to fade.
