MATCHUP SUMMARY

Two teams headed in opposite directions going against each other makes for interesting outcomes. The Patriots enter with two solid wins while the Panthers have struggled recently.

After a blazing hot start Sam Darnold has come back to reality and will need to pass concussion protocol to play. This is a tough matchup as New England has only given up one 300+ yard passing game. Personally, I don’t see Darnold turning his season back around in this game. If you do believe he can then you should pair him with DJ Moore or Robbie Anderson who was missing in action the last game. The better route may be taking a shot on Chuba Hubbard getting the job done in a lower scoring affair where he gets all the points.

Mac Jones has been leading the way during the recent positive run for the Patriots. He is also in a tough matchup as Carolina has only allowed one 300+ yard passing game. Jones is cheap enough that if he gets low 20 points you will be fine. Jones spreads the ball around making it tough to partner him with one wideout. The Panthers run defense has also been solid and a high price on Damien Harris makes him a tough play. I can see a low scoring game between the two teams thus my interest in any players from this game will be limited if any.

THE DFS GEMS

Mac Jones, Patriots- $5,300. His numbers haven’t been stellar but the price keeps him playable. If I were to go with him it would probably be solo.

Jonnu Smith, Patriots- $2,800. Jones doesn’t mind targeting his TE’s and eventually Smith will have his game over Hunter Henry. He provides leverage at a cheap price and if he can get 15+ you are sitting fine.

DJ Moore, Panthers- $6,400. Moore is a target monster. What he does with them is the question. With Darnold struggling recently and a solid price tag he should provide leverage in hopes that he has a great game.
