Carolina Hurricanes (-360) @ Arizona Coyotes (+295)
With the craziness of the trade deadline finally behind us, a thinned out Coyotes team will host a revamped Hurricanes team. I see no reason for the Hurricanes to not with this game and Vegas agrees given the money line odds. Even the puck line is only -130 making it tough to find any value here. (-1.5 is absolutely in play if you’d prefer a game line to a prop)
On that, one thing the Hurricanes are always good for is shooting the puck. They shoot more than any team in the league it seems, forcing opposing goaltenders to stand on their head just to keep their team in the game. Vejmelka will get the start for the Coyotes and you can expect him to get the same treatment.
His prop is at 33.5 which is a bit higher than I generally like to take but given that the Hurricanes got better and the Yotes got worse during the deadline they should have no issues peppering yet another goalie with a ton of shots.

We have a real barn burner of a match up here folks, with two teams making a late season push for the elusive first overall pick. This game could be fun to watch as bad teams playing sometimes gives way to exciting games but you never know. As bad as they’ve been I do like Anaheim tonight.
Montreal played in a hard fought game last night with the Kings which could leave some tired legs in the line up. Another factor is the goaltending disparity tonight as Sam Montembeault will likely get the start for the Habs after Allen played last night. Monster truck has been okay this season but not great. Anaheim on the other hand will have John Gibson between the pipes who, despite having a 3.95 GAA, is having a great year with a .902 SV%.
While I don’t trust the Ducks to cover the puck line I absolutely think they get it done tonight against a beat up Habs team. The regulation win is certainly in play if you’re in the mood for some extra juice but I have no issues with the money line in this one.
