Tampa Bay Lightning (-125) @ Ottawa Senators (+105)
Home underdogs are always a favorite of mine, and that remains true tonight as the Senators host the Lightning. Brian Elliott will get the start for the Bolts, and is one of the main reasons I’m on the Sens tonight. He’s a far cry from Andrei Vasilevskiy and this Senators team is still determined to make the playoffs, as unlikely as it may be.
Tampa won the previous match up but that was in the early weeks of the season, much has changed. Being the home team Ottawa can take advantage of the all important second line change to get their stars in the best position to score and take home two points.
Ottawa Senators Money Line (+105)
San Jose Sharks (+150) @ Vancouver Canucks (-175)
Vancouver should have no problems beating the wheels off this Sharks team. The Canucks are 3-0 against their divisional rival this season, scoring 16 goals in those match ups. I expect nothing different tonight.
The lowest scoring game between these teams came in at a total of 7 goals. I like the over of 7 in this one, but Demko wasn’t in net for the Canucks in any of those games. Being the best goalie Vancouver has to offer I can see the Sharks possibly struggling to cover their end of the over so I don’t mind going with an alternate over for the sake of the parlay.
