New York Rangers (-225) @ Philadelphia Flyers (+190)

Although he won’t be in the line up tonight, Patty Kane is officially a Ranger. There was a buzz in the air when they traded for Tarasenko, I can’t imagine the energy and excitement in their locker room right now. Coming off the big news they head to Philly to take on a struggling Flyers team.

Philly has been a disaster as of late, more so than before, dropping 8 of their last 10 games. The last time these teams met New York pounded them 6-3 in their home barn and this Rangers team has only gotten better since then. Aside from that, Igor will be in net for the Rags instead of Halak which will make this more of an uphill battle than it already was.

New York Rangers -1.5 (+105)

Toronto Maple Leafs (-115) @ Edmonton Oilers (-105)

This match up has the potential to be one for the ages as two of the most star studded teams in the league face off in Alberta. 150 total combined goals have been scored between both the Leafs and Oilers…top line. That isn’t including Nylander, Tavares, Draisaitl, or Hyman.

Edmonton games always have a chance of going over as Rogers Center sees an average of 7 goals a game, which makes sense when McDavid already has 50. I see no difference tonight given the ridiculous amount of talent in these line ups.

McDavid has been on an absolute heater, but I have to give the edge tonight to Toronto. They’re the better overall team, playing very solid hockey, and have had success playing in this rink over the past few years.
