Detroit Red Wings (+105) @ Ottawa Senators (-125)
The Senators host the Red Wings tonight in their third match up this season. There are generally some fireworks in these games and I don’t expect that to change given how these teams have been playing lately.
Being the home team Ottawa will be able to dictate the match ups as they see fit, and Ottawa prefers to play a fast track meet style game which always results in goals. Ottawa games tend to have plenty of penalties as well, and these power plays have been very good over their last 5 games.
Over 6.5 Total Goals Scored (-105)
Vegas Golden Knights (+120) @ Colorado Avalanche (-140)
Another great match up here as the Knights visit the Avs who are starting to look like the defending champs. As good as Vegas has been playing I have a hard time fading Colorado on home ice.
This match up is split 1 and 1 on the year so far but Colorado has dealt with their fair share of injuries, even now they’re without Cale Makar. I do think this will be a good game and if you don’t mind taking a -140 bet then Avs Money Line is obviously the safer play than regulation. Being the home team that dictates match ups I think the Avs can certainly get it done here against a Vegas team playing solid hockey.
