YTD (156-154-2)
Anaheim Ducks (+330) @ Florida Panthers (-410)
This is an absolute smash spot for the Panthers, they’re one of the most effective offenses in the league and today they host the worst defensive team. Anaheim may legitimately allow 65+ shots this game.
Florida should crush this team with the scoring starting early. The first period puck line is the only Panthers play with any sort of value so that’s where I’ll be headed. Even -2.5 is -115, this game should be incredibly lop-sided.
Florida Panthers -.5 in First Period (-110)
New York Islanders (+125) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (-140)
Tristan Jarry is finally back for the Penguins, I hope. He is slated to start his first game in almost a month but I’ll believe it when I see it as the Pens have liked playing mind games lately. That being said, with him in net I love the Penguins tonight.
They have a fantastic history against the Islanders on home ice and tonight they get an islanders team that will be missing a few key players. With their starting goalie back between the pipes the Penguins should have new energy in them tonight in what is a major divisional game for them as the playoff race truly begins.
Pittsburgh Penguins Win in Regulation (+110)
Winnipeg Jets (+150) @ New York Rangers (-175)
New York is playing incredible hockey right now as much as it pains me to say. They’ve turned into a power house since adding Tarasenko. After returning from a long, successful road trip they get a Jets team on the tail end of a back to back and should be able to take full advantage of it.
The Jets played in New Jersey last night, who is incredibly fast and the Jets were trailing the whole time so I’m certain they have some tired legs today. Their goaltending options are either Rittich who stinks, or Hellebuyck who doesn’t stink but had the start last night. With the playoff race starting up, and the Jets needing every point they can get I wouldn’t be shocked to see him play today. It makes no difference to me though as they face a Rangers team that’s averaging 5 goals a game.
New York Rangers -1.5 (+140)
