Keep an eye on the Discord for more plays. I’m waiting to see some of the starting goalies before I make some calls on certain games. Discord is members only so all the more reason to join.
Washington Capitals (+170) @ Carolina Hurricanes (-200)
Carter-Finley Stadium will be host to the latest outdoor game this year as the Hurricanes host an Ovechkin-less Capitals team. PNC arena is known as one of the loudest arenas in the league and I fully expect that to carry over to this game.
Raleigh is buzzing with energy so you can expect the same from a Hurricanes team that plays with a lot of energy already. If you don’t watch a ton of hockey, the Hurricanes absolutely smother teams. They know what type of gum you chew by the end of the first period. Carolina has been a little leaky as of late but that’s more a product of their goaltending than team play as their expected goals against is significantly lower than they’re real goals against.
With the energy this team is going to have tonight I think they have positive regression all around and win this game by a solid margin.
Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 (+130)
Buffalo Sabres (-125) @ San Jose Sharks (+105)
This should be an absolute shootout, as all Sabres games tend to be. Buffalo is an offense first team while the Sharks can’t stop a nose bleed defensively so while I expect Buffalo to come out on top, I expect goals to be scored all around.
A Same Game Parlay of the Sabres Money Line and Alt over of 5.5 pays +145 on Draft Kings. Alternate overs are one of my favorite ways to add juice to an outright bet. Buffalo should have no issues lighting up Kaapo Kahkonen who is allowing almost 4 goals a game with his .883 SV%.
SGP : Buffalo Money Line + Alt. Over 5.5 Total Goals (+145)
Tampa Bay Lightning (-130) @ Vegas Golden Knights (+110)
Vegas is a home dog tonight and I can’t quite figure out why. Yes Tampa is a good team but they’ve been atrocious on the road as of late. Scoring just 1.94 goals a game, the Bolts have struggled to get things going. Vegas on the other hand has been a wagon.
Aside from being excellent on defense, Vegas has been scoring in waves since the the All Star break. Last game against the Ducks was their first time scoring less than 5 goals. I don’t expect them to pour on that many against the Lightning as they are a solid team but It truly makes no sense to me as to why they’re +110 underdogs at home.
Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (+105)
