YTD (150-150-2)
NJ Devils (-150) @ St. Louis Blues (+130)
This play is based entirely around whether or not Jack Hughes is in the line up for the Devils. Should he be out as expected I like the Blues on home ice. Hughes, a game time decision, registered 9 of the Devils 39 shots in their last meeting with the Blues, a game in which they still lost.
St. Louis is playing solid hockey right now, with the Devils driving offensive force out of the line up I think they would have no issues taking a win here on home ice. Keep an eye on line ups as puck drop gets closer as he is expected to NOT play but I’d rather wait than risk him being in, he’s a game breaking type player.
St. Louis Blues Money Line (+130)
Detroit Red Wings (+235) @ Calgary Flames (-280)
Looking at the lines, I can’t quite figure out why the Flames are such heavy favorites here. I understand that this will be the Wings 3rd game in 4 day and being on a back to back, but the Flames really aren’t that good of a team. Being +235 underd0gs I have no issue throwing a little at the Red Wings money line but I’m very interested in their puck line.
Being such heavy dogs, the Red Wings +1.5 is sitting at -125 which is more than fair for a team I think can sneak a win out tonight. Detroit is playing solid hockey lately, winning 4 straight games as well as 7 of their last 10. One of those wins being against this Flames team. I understand it was under different circumstances but I think the Wings have a real chance of keeping this game close if not grabbing the win.
Detroit Red Wings +1.5 (-125)
San Jose Sharks (-165) @ Vegas Golden Knights (-195)
Since returning from All Star weekend, the Knights have been on a tear. Scoring no less than 5 goals in each of their last 3 games I see no reason for that to stop tonight.
Vegas is hosting a Sharks team that has struggled all year to keep pucks out of their net, averaging almost 4 against. Their likely starter, Kaapo Kahkonen is right in line with allowing nearly 4 goals a game. To add to it he has been dealing with a head injury so he may not be playing at 100%. I think Eichel along with the rest of his team bury this visiting Sharks squad.
Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+135)
