Some truly terrible beats last night. Both overs fell a goal shy, while Varlamov needed 1 more save for that to cash. Tage Thompson bringing the hammer down was the only nice play coming in. The league has been strange lately as far as the numbers. Hellebuyck being a perfect example of that, getting absolutely cooked which is very uncharacteristic of him.
With only 3 games tonight I decided to do something a little different. I have a parlay to include since there are a few very heavy favorites on the slate. I like the Wild -1.5 but the line has already shifted off plus money and I never like puck lines with a minus sign next to them.
2 Game Parlay (Sens/Wild)
The Wild and Senators should both handle business tonight. Minnesota gets a Detroit team coming off a back to back, meaning Nedeljkovic will be getting the start in net and he has been terrible. Averaging over 4 GAA on the road. Detroit will also be without their points leader and captain Dylan Larkin, dealing a fairly significant blow to this team.
In Ottawa we have a similar situation as the Canadiens are fairly banged up, missing a few key depth players. Cole Caufield is also a GTD, him being out of the line up would be horrendous for this team. On home ice Ottawa has been fairly dominant at controlling pace of play, and with Monster Truck in net I expect a fair amount of goals on their end as he allows over 3 GAA on the road giving up 7 in his last appearance.
Wild Money Line and Senators Money Line (+103)
Detroit Red Wings @ Minnesota Wild
I love this match up for Kirill the Thrill to pop off. I hate saying “he’s due”, but keeping a goal scorer like him off the board rarely happens for this long of a stretch. He hasn’t recorded a goal in his last 3 games and I like this spot for him to correct that.
He gets a great match up with Ned in net and the Wings coming off a game last night. The guy is electric, averaging almost 5 per game through his last 10.
Kirill Kaprizov Anytime Goal Scorer (+100)
Check back in the Discord closer to puck drop, I have my eye on a few things but not all the prop lines are out this early in the day so I have to wait on those.
I’m interesting in Derick Brassard points since he is centering the top line in Ottawa tonight with Stutzle out. He hasn’t been great this year so we could see a favorable line.
Also looking at Montembeault saves given how much the Senators like to shoot and how many players are missing from the Habs line up. He should see a decent amount of shots
