YTD (59-59-2)

Saturday was nice to us, Avs and Stars both took care of business so close the week out strong. I plan on playing small tonight, half units on pretty much everything, as there are a ton of people out with injury and illness. It makes it tough to get a good read on a game with so many line changes and new faces on the ice.

Dallas Stars (-130) @ St. Louis Blues (+170)

The Stars are still a wagon, and although they’ve slipped in the GAA department they still have the ability to bury a team. For tonights game in St. Louis I really like the alternate over over 5.5. I’m usually not crazy about the odds for the alternate overs but -150 isn’t terrible especially when the Stars are one of the highest scoring teams in the league. They average almost 4 goals a game, the 2nd highest in the league. Dallas started the year as a defensive juggernaut but have slipped, allowing 33 shots against over their last 10 games. I think you could certainly take the listed over of 6 for -115 if you don’t mind the push but I like the 5.5 alt line.

Over 5.5 Total Goals Scored (-150)

Florida Panthers (-115) @ Edmonton Oilers (-105)

This game could be absolute barn burner. Neither Florida or Edmonton plays any defense to begin with, and Florida is not missing it’s best defensive forward and captain, Barkov. Offense is the name of the game for both of these squads, always putting defense on the back burners. The Panthers have hit over 6.5 in their last 6 games, I don’t expect that to change against an Oilers team with McDavid and Draisaitl still in the line up.
