YTD (110-112-2)

Clean sweep last night to get back the Thursday mishap along with a few extra bucks. We have another great slate of games tonight if you’re looking for some action aside from the NFL games.

We had a great live show this morning where we discussed a ton of picks for both the betting side as well as DFS plays that won’t be mentioned here. Head over the the RPS Bets Youtube Channel to see what great content you may have missed!

St. Louis Blues (-155) @ Montreal Canadiens (+135)

I know I always say to follow the numbers, but I’m taking a detour tonight. Vegas likes the Blues, but I like the Habs as home underdogs. St. Louis has been struck with the injury bug, losing Krug, Tarasenko, and O’Rielly. While they’ve won both their games since, I love this Canadiens team on home ice, it’s a great get right spot for a team on a 6 game skid.

Being the home team Montreal will dictate the on ice match ups, which should allow the young stud line of Suzuki, Dach, and Caufield to find some open ice and find the back of the net. We also get RPS hero Jake Allen in net for the Habs, who has been known to absolutely stand on his head when needed.

As I said, very few numbers say the Canadiens will win this but I really like this spot for them and they’re hands down my favorite dog on the slate.

Montreal Canadiens Money Line (+135)

Minnesota Wild (-130) @ Buffalo Sabres (+110)

By far my favorite game tonight both as a fan and in DFS, I’m expecting a ton of goals in this one. Both teams are stacked with fire power, Tage Thompson on one side and Kirill the Thrill on the other, which always makes for some fire works. Being on home ice the Thompson/Tuch/Skinner line should be able to avoid the Ek line, which is one of the best defensive lines in the league. They should have plenty of scoring opportunities. Neither team has been good defensively, and neither starting goalie has been very good either with a combined 3.1 GAA .899 SV%.

As mentioned on the live show, a player to keep your eye on tonight is Ryan Hartman who should see a huge bump in ice time with Zucc out of the line up. Hartman has been bumped up to the top line with Kaprizov, even getting a 2nd PP run. Playing with a guy like Kirill should give a massive boost to his production so I’ll be all over his props tonight. If he had that top PP run I’d be more interested in his anytime goal scorer prop at +260, I still think it’s very viable but given that you can find him at plus money to record a point on some books I’ll be going there instead.

Draft Kings has him at -105 to record a point which is a great return for a guy in his position. He should see a ton of ice, playing with one of the best players in the league in what should be a high scoring affair.

Over 6.5 Total Goals Scored (-120)
Ryan Hartman Over 0.5 Points (-105)

Seattle Kraken (-110) @ Ottawa Senators (-110)

This could be another game that gets busted wide open. Very similar to the last game I discussed, these are two teams who have shown they can light the lamp while not really playing great defense. Ottawa has a top 6 as good as anybody and it seems the Kraken can get scoring from every single line.

The likely starters will be Forsberg for the Sens and Grubauer for the Kraken, neither of which has been very good this year and will certainly let some pucks past them. With the Over sitting at 6 on Draft Kings I see this game as a push at worst, I could see this easily popping for 8 or 9 goals.

Over 6 Total Goals Scored (-125)
