YTD (107-109-2)

Tough night last night, Dallas was nonexistent in that one. I didn’t love the slate going into it which is why I stuck with playing half units, and turned out to be the smart thing to do.

We get back to a usual slate of games tonight with some excited match ups to look forward to. I know the Yotes are playing Philly but it’s in Philly so I can’t take them no matter how much I want to. Let’s get a nice bounce back after a poor night.

Colorado Avalanche (-155) @ Vancouver Canucks (+135)

If you’ve been following the news then you already know what a train wreck the Canucks have been recently. No one wants to play there, the locker room is in shambles, and the coach is absolutely clueless. With the Avs on a 4 game skid I really like this spot for them to right the ship.

Both of these teams play very fast, offense first hockey. With MacKinnon back in the line up I don’t know how goals aren’t going to be scored tonight. Neither team has been very good defensively, both in the top 10 for GAA in the last 5 games, while also having sub 70% penalty killing units. With the offense these teams bring to the table I expect a very fast game to be played, and I see the Avs coming out on top.

Colorado Avalanche in Regulation (+105)
Over 6.5 Total Goals Scored (+100)

Boston Bruins (-165) @ LA Kings (+140)

Give me the Kings tonight. Teams travelling cross country generally don’t have a great history, especially when the team they’re up against has been on a roll lately. Not to mention that LA gave the Bruins one of their few losses this year already.

Three major factors for tonights game. One I mentioned, teams going coast to coast especially East to West historically don’t do very well with the time shift. The second is Jake DeBrusk is on IR after suffering a lower body injury in the Winter Classic. He’s become a key player for the Bruins, adding to their depth. The third factor is Pheonix Copley, the man has found his stride this season boasting a 9-1-0 record with a 2.52 GAA.

I’m not sure what has shifted for him but he has been a wall this season, even with Boston playing so well I think this is a great spot to ride with a home dog.

LA Kings Money Line (+140)

Hurricanes, Leafs, Capitals all to Win Outright (+214)

All of these teams have very favorable match ups and SHOULD win. I say should because the Leafs have been my arch nemesis as of late. The Canes are a wagon as usual and the Capitals get the the Blue Jackets tonight.

I’m undecided on whether or not to throw a full unit at this, but it will certainly be on the slip tonight.
