YTD (127-132-2)

Huge day of sports going on, including our massive 13 game NHL slate. I had an okay night on Thursday, those late games have been killers for me. I guess the Adin Hill save prop really was too good to be true, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.

I do want to say that if you’re enjoying the free content at Run Pure Sports then you’ll absolutely love being a member. With that little promo out of the way, let’s get at it and win some money.

Philadelphia Flyers (+120) @ Detroit Red Wings (-140)

Philly has been on an absolute heater lately, winning 7 of their last 10 games. I expect that to continue into tonight. With Carter Hart in net, this Flyers team that’s averaging 3 goals a game should have no issues lighting the lamp against a Red Wings squad that’s allowing almost 4 goals against.

Travis Konecny has been on a roll during this time, but another player to watch is Kevin Hayes. While he hasn’t seen the scoring production of Kocnency, aside from his hattrick, he is shooting a ton. His shot prop is at 2.5, hitting that number all but once in his last 7 games. The payout is -150 so I don’t think I’ll be on this outright but I’ll absolutely be adding this into parlays for some extra juice.

With how well the Flyers have been playing lately I really like their chances tonight even as a road dog.

Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (+120)

San Jose Sharks (-140) @ Columbus Blue Jackets (+120)

In short, Columbus stinks. They blew a 3 goal lead to the Ducks the other day, arguably the worst team in the league. Tonight they get a Sharks team that is significantly better. Columbus allows a whopping 16 high danger chances a game, while San Jose generates a league leading 17 HDC. The Sharks have more than enough talent to capitalize on that many scoring chances, especially when the opposing goalie is allowing over 3 goals a game.

Columbus is allowing almost 5 goals against a game, with weapons like Timo Meier on the roster I really like the Sharks odds of covering the puck line tonight.

San Jose Sharks -1.5 (+180)

Chicago Blackhawks (+215) @St. Louis Blues (-255)

Chicago is another team that just flat out stinks. To make matters worse their starting goalie tonight has never played an NHL game before, putting up a sub .900 SV% in the AHL. Given that I expect the Blues to smash here, and I have them in a parlay which is the only way to get juice from a -255 favorite.

What I like here is for St. Louis to cover the first period puck line. Given the goal tending situation I think the Blackhawks will take some time to get comfortable and may come out flat footed. Goaltenders have a major effect on the confidence of the players, having a first timer being called up could take some time to adjust.

St. Louis Blues -.5 in First Period (+120)

Edmonton Oilers (-190) @ Vancouver Canucks (+160)

I love the Oilers here, for a few reasons. One I hate what the Canucks are doing to Bruce Boudreau, making a guy basically dig his own grave. Two the Canucks can’t stop a nose bleed, so they certainly can’t stop the Oilers offense.

Being on a back to back the Canucks will have tired legs, especially when they spent all last night trying to keep up with the workhorses on Colorado. Tonight will be no easier. Keeping up with Edmonton is not an easy thing to do, and I expect the Oilers to maintain their 5+ goal average tonight going against a Canucks defense that’s allowing 4 goals against.

McDavid and Draisaitl should be able to run wild tonight, helping the Oilers to cover the puck line and bump their win streak to 6 games.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (+125)
