YTD (117-118-2)

Gave back a few units over the last couple days, but a 12 game slate is the best spot to get those back. We talked about all these picks and more on the live show. It’s a great slate of games, and we should see every type of game tonight, from blow out to 2-1 grind fests.

At the bottom I included a few other picks I have some interest in. I wouldn’t throw full units on them as they’re definitely longer shot plays, but they’re certainly playable in my eyes.

Vancouver Canucks (+225) @ Tampa Bay Lightning (-265)

The Bolts are heavy, heavy favorites at home, with good reason. Vancouver is a mess currently, they lead the league with 8 blown multi goal leads, their coach has lost the room, guys are getting hurt in practice.. the list goes on. Tampa on the other hand is a wagon.

In their last 5 home stands the Lightning are dominating, averaging 4 goals for while also allowing less than 2 against. Over the same time frame they have the best special teams in the league, first ranked power play (66.7%) and a perfect penalty kill. I say a lot that Vancouver always brings the over into play and tonight is no different. I could see this game being a 5-2 type win for Tampa.

Someone in the live show chat also pointed out that Tampa first period -.5 is paying around +115, and after looking into it a little that prop has hit 7 times in the last 8 meetings between these teams. While that sample size dates back a few years I definitely think it is very viable tonight with how I expect this game to go.

Tampa Bay -.5 First Period (+115)
Over 6.5 Total Goals Scored (-130)

Calgary Flames (-170) @ St. Louis Blues (+145)

Tonight will be the third and final meeting between these two teams, with the Blues taking both games as well as the over hitting in both. I expect a similar result tonight. The Blues were my favorite dog on the slate until they announced Griess was in net, that immediately sent me to the Over.

Both squads will be starting their back up netminders, neither of which are very good. Vladar can put up some solid performances but given how the Blues have been buzzing offensively lately I have no doubts he lets a few slide. The Blues top line of Kyrou, Thomas, and Buchnevich have been absolutely flying and I have some interest in Kyrou as a goal scorer, it gives a great payout for someone in his position.

Over 6 Total Goals Scored (-105)

Florida Panthers (-105) @ Vegas Golden Knights (-115)

I absolutely love this spot for Vegas. They host a Panthers team that’s been playing fairly poorly on the road recently. They’re coming off a win in Denver but the Avs are still dealing with the injuries, Vegas on the other hand is ready to rock. Eichel is back in the line up and this team will be buzzing tonight.

Averaging almost 4 goals a game, Vegas will see Bobrovsky who is allowing 3.5 GAA on the road. Where the Knights can really hammer things home is the power play. Florida has a decent penalty kill, killing off roughly 80% of penalties, but they take average 4 a game. Vegas comes into tonight with a red hot power play, scoring on 35% of chances. Given the shot disparity (Florida has been completely outplayed lately) Bob will be tested all night and I personally don’t think he’s very good anymore.

Vegas Golden Knights Money Line (-115)

Other Interesting Picks :

Montreal Canadiens Money Line (+145)
Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+180)
Jordan Kyrou (STL) Anytime Goal Scorer (+220)
Evan Rodrigues (COL) Anytime Goal Scorer (+205)
