NFL WILD CARD SUNDAY GEMS

Wild card weekend is here and it’s one of my favorite slates of the year. There are three games on Sunday, including a lovely dome game between two teams that can’t play defense. Let’s get rocking!

QUARTERBACK

Josh Allen, BUF, $7,900 on DraftKings Allen will likely be the most popular play on this slate, but it’s hard to see this game being competitive enough for him to pay off his tag. He’s safe…but one of these cheaper guys likely brings it home.

Daniel Jones, NYG, $5,600 on DraftKings The cheapest QB in consideration, in the best game environment and he’s maturing under Brian Daboll’s system. Might be my favorite QB play.

Kirk Cousins, MIN, $5,900 on DraftKings Is it psychological for Kirk outside of the 1:00 P.M. window? We’ll find out for sure in a matchup that he should slay, but he’s my third option on the slate.

RUNNING BACK

Saquon Barkley, NYG, $7,900 on DraftKings The Giants will rely on Jones and Saquon in this matchup – must plays on this slate for me.  The Vikings defense has been an absolute sieve all season.

Dalvin Cook, MIN, $7,100 on DraftKings Running Back is thin on the slate, and Cook’s usage and matchup has him in play.

Jeff Wilson Jr., MIA, $5,400 on DraftKings Raheem Mostert was ruled out and, if we’re being honest, a heavy dose of the running game is Miami’s only shot. Volume should be huge for Wilson.

James Cook, BUF, $4,800 on DraftKings A cheap option who could get end of game run to salt away the victory for Buffalo.

WIDE RECEIVER

Justin Jefferson, MIN, $8,400 on DraftKings Best receiver in the game, will likely be the highest owned player on the slate. The matchup and opportunity are incredible.

Stefon Diggs, BUF, $7,700 on DraftKings Popular play and definitely capable of a big game, but opposing teams do focus heavily on Stefon in the playoffs.

Richie James, Jr., NYG, $3,900 on DraftKings A key cog of the Giants offense now and too cheap.

Gabe Davis, BUF, $4,900 on DraftKings Gabe ate last postseason because…ahem, teams focused on Diggs.

Tyler Boyd, CIN, $4,000 on DraftKings Love the price for Boyd here in the third matchup against the Ravens.

Jaylen Waddle, MIA, $6,400 on DraftKings I have real concerns about Skylar Thompson’s ability to get the ball down the field, but Waddle is my best bet of the Miami receiving corps with Tyreek Hill banged up.

TIGHT END

Dawson Knox, BUF, $4,000 on DraftKings Too cheap here for a pass heavy offense, and he’s seemed to catch Josh Allen’s eye more often in the red zone lately.

T.J. Hockenson, MIN, $5,100 on DraftKings Great game environment and a wide receiver target share for a discount.

Mark Andrews, BAL, $5,200 on DraftKings Should be healthy after time off and, realistically, the only viable weapon in this Baltimore offense.

DEFENSE

Bills, $3,300 on DraftKings Too cheap for their expected value here. Will be the most popular team defense but I think that’s fair.

Bengals, $3,500 on DraftKings I prefer Buffalo, but think the Bengals are the second option on the slate.
