MATCHUP SUMMARY
Kirk Cousins makes his return to FEDEX field looking to extend their 5 game winnings streak and continue to runaway with the NFC North. This is a #REVENGE spot for Kirk as they failed to re-sign him. The Commanders have given up the 10th most FP to the QB position and this is a solid matchup for him. I dont hate Cousins stacks in GPPS this week. The Commanders run defense is the best part of their game. At 7800, I am out on Dalvin Cook this week. This seems like as good a week as ever for Justin Jefferson to get back in the box as he hasn’t had a TD since week 1. Adam Thielen has 15 targets over the last 2 weeks and is a fine salary saver or addition to Vikings double stacks. The Commanders have given up the 10th most FP to the WR position. I think I will be sitting out the MIN TE situation this week. They acquired TJ Hockenson from the rival Lions at the trade deadline, but I doubt he will run a full allotment of snaps this week.
This is a sneaky good matchup for Taylor Heinicke this week. At 5400, he makes for an interesting tournament play as the Vikings have given up the 9th most FP to the QB position. He is coming off a 23 DK point performance in Indy where he threw for 279 yards and 1 TD. I think its quite possible he has a similar stat line this week and maybe another TD. He also rushed for 29 yards and a score last week. The Commanders backfield is a complete 3 man RBBC. Although it looks as if they are utilizing Antonio Gibson as they envisioned when they drafted him. He is coming off b2b 16+ DK point performances and has 11 targets in the passing game over the last 2 weeks. I’m still not thrilled rostering him, but if I had to choose 1, he would be it. Terry McLaurin is the preferred target for Taylor as he has 16 targets over the last 2 weeks and has 186 yards receiving. At 5900, he is simply too cheap in this matchup as the Vikings have given up the 7th most FP to the WR position. Samuel is a little pricey for me and hasn’t really had a good week outside of weeks 1 and 2.
