MATCHUP SUMMARY
Sean McVay’s Rams head across the country in a matchup featuring two struggling teams. Although Tampa Bay features the fifth-worst defense over the last four weeks, Matthew Stafford outdoors and away from home inspires little confidence. The Rams’ backfield usage is as curious as ever; McVay started Ronnie Rivers last week and he proceeded to do absolutely nothing. The only interest I have here is Cooper Kupp and that interest is tepid, at best.
The Buccaneers are suffering from injuries and a significant downgrade in coaching competency under the stoic Todd Bowles. A home game with the scuffling Rams defense is perhaps a remedy that can aid this struggling offense. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans continue to see massive, double-digit target volume every week and are interesting at their price points. Leonard Fournette’s price has come down to $6,600 and he could see more volume given the struggles of Tampa’s offensive line. Cade Otton is a punt Tight End seeing roughly five targets each week.
THE DFS GEMS
CHRIS GODWIN, BUCCANEERS, $6,200 on DraftKings. The Rams are 31st and 30th in DVOA against Wide Receivers 1 and 2 this season.
MIKE EVANS, BUCCANEERS, $7,200 on DraftKings. A great spot for Evans and will be lower owned than Godwin.
COOPER KUPP, RAMS, $8,900 on DraftKings. Coming off an ankle injury but at a lower price point than usual.
LEONARD FOURNETTE, BUCCANEERS, $6,600 on DraftKings. I expect additional targets here if Brady remains under constant pressure.
