MATCHUP SUMMARY
Josh Jacobs (7.5K) has played like the best running back in the league these past 3 weeks and gets to head into a fantasy friendly environment in a dome against Andy Dalton (5.5K) and the New Orleans Saints. Dalton is coming off of a 32.54 FPT performance so who says he can’t produce any upside? Because of this, I think there are many viable plays in this game from a DFS perspective.
Alvin Kamara (7.1K) and Chris Olave (6K) are by far and away the best targets on the NO side. Michael Thomas (5.7K) is also intriguing, but he is currently Questionable and has not practiced so far this week. His absence would only boost Olave as well as Kamara’s pass catching upside. Juwan Johnson (3.2K) also feels priced too low coming off of a 2 TD game where he had 5 catches for 32 yards and 20.2 FPTs. It is clear that Dalton likes Johnson as somewhat of a comfort blanket in the passing game. Tre’Quan Smith (4.4K), Marquez Callaway, (3.7K) and Rashid Shaheed (3.6K) are guys I’ll be underweight on as they are less of a focus in the passing game for NO.
On the LV side, Josh Jacobs has dominated most of the fantasy opportunity but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a big week for Derek Carr (5.9K) and the passing attack of Devante Adams (8.6K), Hunter Renfrow (4.9K), and Mack Hollins (4.5K). Darren Waller’s (5.4K) status is also something to monitor throughout the week as his absence would boost the outlook on Foster Moreau (3.1K). Overall, this game has a ton of fantasy appeal in what should be tightly contested. I will definitely have a good amount of exposure here.
THE DFS GEMS
Josh Jacobs, LV – $7,500 on DraftKings. 3 straight 30+ FPT performances and there is no sign of slowing down as the usage continues to be there for Jacobs.
Alvin Kamara, NO – $7,100 on DraftKings. Kamara is immune to game script as he gets work in the run game as well as the pass game. Both RBs are elite plays in this game.
Chris Olave, NO – $6,000 on DraftKings. 14 targets last week so it is clear Dalton has comfortability with the rookie Olave. I would expect it to continue here in what should be a back and forth contest.
