MATCHUP SUMMARY

The Detroit Lions come off their bye week, which was much needed after losing 3 straight games. The task is no easier though as they travel to play one of the best defenses in the league in Dallas. Detroit will return some key players from injury this week, most importantly D’Andre Swift. Amon-Ra St. Brown has also had an additional week to get back to full strength. Jared Goff has played well to begin the season with an 11/4 TD to INT-ratio but will face the powerful Cowboys rush. Josh Reynolds has 28 targets over the last 3 games and with the main focus going to St. Brown Reynolds could be the sneaky player to the roster this week. 80+ yards receiving in his last 3 games and has a nice tag at 4.7K.

The Cowboys had their 4-game win streak snapped losing at Philadelphia Sunday night. Cooper Rush was exposed to a degree vs the tough Eagles defense throwing 3 interceptions and only 181 yards on 18 of 38 attempts. Ezekiel Elliott recorded a season-high 81 yards rushing on 13 carries. Tony Pollard added in 44 yards on 11 carries and caught 2 passes for 8 yards. CeeDee Lamb was only able to haul in 5 of 10 targets for 68 yards. Lamb does lead the league in target share over the last four weeks at 34.9%. Jake Ferguson filled in at tight end catching 4 passes for 40 yards and a touchdown. Michael Gallup saw a season-high in targets with 7 but was only able to catch 2 for 18 yards. It sounds like Dak Prescott will make his return from injury this week, but we need to monitor this news.

I look for the Dallas defense to have its way with this Lions offense similar to the Patriots who shut them out. Dak coming back should energize this team coming off the prime-time loss last week. Detroit’s defense has given up an average of 34 points per game this season. This is a great soft landing spot for Dak to return to and I look at playing Lamb and Gallup with him.

THE DFS GEMS

CeeDee Lamb, DAL – $6,800 on DraftKings. I look for Lamb to finally hit the 100-yard bonus this week and continue to have a big market share of this offense.

Michael Gallup, DAL – $5,100 on DraftKings. Gallup’s snap count increased from 30 to 51 last week as he continues to get back to full strength. Great upside target for GPPs this week.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET – $7,100 on DraftKings. I expect Detroit to line up Brown in various spots to give him easy quick looks as Goff should be under pressure quickly. Detroit should be down and playing catch-up in the second half which could lead to 10+ targets for Brown.
