The winless Texans travel to play the stout Jaguars this Sunday in Jacksonville. Rookie Dameon Pierce has bettered his performance in all 4 games to begin the season. Pierce has found the endzone in his last 2 games and busted off a 75-yard touchdown run last week vs the Chargers. Pierce was also active in the passing game catching 6 balls out of the backfield. Brandin Cooks led the team in catches with 7 for 57 yards and a touchdown. Nico Collins led the team in yards, catching 3 passes for 82 yards with the majority of them coming on a 58-yard catch. Rex Burkhead continues to have a role in the passing game catching all 5 targets for 39 yards and a touchdown. The Texans will have a tough matchup this Sunday vs this stout Jags defense.

Jacksonville enters this contest at 2-2, losing to the Eagles last week. The Jags were up 14-0 early on Philly before the Eagles scored 29 straight points. This game was played in very wet and windy conditions so it is hard to take anything away from it. Trevor Lawrence completed 11 of 23 passes for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns while throwing 1 interception. Etienne and Robinson both had 8 carries, but neither totaled more than 35 yards. Chris Kirk continues to be Lawrence’s main target but only was able to catch 2 of 9 targets for 60 yards. The tight end Jamal Agnew had 4 catches for 50 yards and both of Lawrence’s touchdowns. This Jags team is much better than anticipated after beating both the Colts and the Chargers and should look to get back on track vs this weak Texans squad.

I was on Pierce last week, but this Jags defense is tough, and I will be looking to avoid him here. I think Rex Burkhead could see more of a role this week as I expect Jacksonville to be leading most of the game. Brandin Cooks is always in play with his solid volume of 36 targets in 4 games. Lawrence has a nice value tag of only $5,600 this week and his top 2 options are rather cheap. Christian Kirk at 6.6K and Zay Jones at 4.1K would be the two I want to stack up.

Christian Kirk, JAX – $6,600 on DraftKings. Kirk has 9 or more targets in 3 of 4 games this season and should fest on this bad Texans defense.

Zay Jones, JAX – $4,100 on DraftKings. Jones missed last week’s game due to an ankle injury but should be ready to go this week. Lawrence was looking his way often vs the Chargers as he caught 10 passes for 85 yards and 1 touchdown.

Trevor Lawrence, JAX – $5,600 on DraftKings. Last week was a write-off game for me due to the weather. Lawrence is yet to have a smash game, but I feel it’s coming soon. The passing volume is there for Lawrence and he holds a nice 8-2 TD to INT ratio.
