MATCHUP SUMMARY
After losing their first two games Tennessee put an emphasis on getting the ball in Derrick Henry’s hands early and often. Henry carried the ball 20 times for 85 yards and one touchdown. Derrick also had one of his best games in the passing game, catching 5 passes for 58 yards. After trading away AJ Brown this offseason Henry will be relied on as rookie Treylon Burks gets up to speed. Robert Woods led the team in targets with 9 and yards with 85. If the Titans look to have success again this week it will need to come on the back of King Henry.
The Colts secured their first win of the season in a wild game against the Chiefs. Both teams made many mistakes during the game, but the Colts were able to win 20-17. Jonathan Taylor couldn’t get much going on the ground rushing for only 71 yards on 21 carries averaging just over 3 yards per carry. Nyheim Hines was active in the passing game catching 5 passes. Michael Pittman returned to catch 8 passes on 9 targets for 72 yards. Rookie Alec Pierce was second on the team with 3 catches for 61 yards. Tight end Jelani Woods caught both of Matt Ryan’s touchdowns, but only totaled 13 yards.
I expect this to be a slow-moving game as both teams will look to establish it with their premier backs. I feel like Treylon Burks is close to having a breakout game and has looked great when targeted. If it’s not Jonathan Taylor, then the Colts will look to feed Michael Pittman through the air. Alec Pierce has a nice price tag for GPPs at only $3,900 and was targeted 5 times last week. I will look to target this game with a secondary stack or as one-offs.
THE DFS GEMS
Derrick Henry, TEN – $8,300 on DraftKings. King Henry is always in play for GPPs and the fact he could see more pass game usage is a huge boost.
Treylon Burks, TEN – $4,700 on DraftKings. Burks is a big-play rookie that is nearing a breakout game I feel.
Michael Pittman, IND – $7,200 on DraftKings. Pittman has a fair price tag here and Ryan should once again key in on him in the passing game.
