MATCHUP SUMMARY

The 3-0 Eagles get to host the 2-1 Jaguars who are coming off of 2 straight wins, with their latest being a beatdown on the hobbled Justin Herbert and his Chargers. I expect this game to be more evenly contested then the Vegas line indicates, making this a game that we can target from a DFS perspective.

Trevor Lawrence (5.7K) surprisingly has the 6th highest QB rating in the league through 3 weeks and it is clear that he has a nice chemistry with Christian Kirk (6.6K) who has averaged 21.9 FPTs so far this season. Zay Jones (4.2K) is also coming off of an 11 target game, converting 11 of those targets into 10 receptions, 85 yards and a touchdown. James Robinson (6.4K) has surprisingly kept his starting job over the talented rookie Travis Etienne (5.4K) but it is warranted as Robinson truly looks unaffected by his injury from a year ago. Robinson has logged double digit carries every week thus far including a 23 carry performance in Week 2.

On the opposite side, Jalen Hurts (8.2K) has had a strong start to his MVP campaign as he has posted 2 straight 30+ FPT performances. He is surrounded by truly talented receivers in A.J. Brown (7.4K) and Devonta Smith (5.8K). Add in Dallas Goedert (4.5K) and you have 3 pass catchers that average 10 or more FPTs per game. Miles Sanders (6K) now priced up, will always be a true touchdown or bust target as he does not get much action in the passing game and is rushing dependent. You also have to worry about Kenneth Gainwell (4.9K) and Boston Scott (4.6K) sharing the load as well so this is likely a situation I’ll aim to avoid.

THE DFS GEMS

Jalen Hurts, PHI– $8,200 on DraftKings. Hurts is only behind Lamar and Allen when it comes to QB FPTs this year (ironic as they are all on this slate and priced accordingly). Has the ability to break any slate with his dual threat ability.

Christian Kirk, JAX – $6,600 on DraftKings. Kirk and Lawrence have connected for at least 1 deep ball in each of their 3 games together so far so it is clear that they have a strong connection. Love him in the slot here.

Devonta Smith, MIN – $5,800 on DraftKings. Always tough to choose between Smith and Brown, but I’ll take the discount here for the guy who has 30+ FPT upside every week as indicated from last weeks performance.
