MATCHUP SUMMARY
The Broncos visit the winless Raiders in the fifth-highest game total of the week. Thus far, intra-division battles have yielded minimal fantasy upside. Russell Wilson has been erratic to start the season and despite an entirely new coaching staff, the Broncos remain committed to their Running Back committee. Courtland Sutton has emerged as the fairly clear Wide Receiver 1, seeing nearly double the number of targets as Jerry Jeudy over the first three weeks. Wilson has had little use for Denver’s crowded Tight End position.
The Raiders have gotten off to a rough start under Josh McDaniels. As it relates to daily fantasy, one thing to consider is that the Patriots, McDaniels’s former team, have never been an offense to aggressively target. Hunter Renfrow will miss a second straight game and Foster Moreau has been ruled out, potentially condensing Derek Carr’s target tree. Denver’s defense has been stingy, limiting my interest in Raider’s pieces.
THE DFS GEMS
COURTLAND SUTTON, BRONCOS, $6,400 on DraftKings. Sutton is the receiver I would target here in the event Russ can get going in this soft matchup.
DAVANTE ADAMS, RAIDERS, $8,300 on DraftKings. There’s a dearth of high-priced options at Wide Receiver and Adams possesses slate-breaking potential.
JAVONTE WILLIAMS, $6,600 on DraftKings. Williams has a slight edge in snap counts over backfield counterpart Melvin Gordon III, who was banged up and missed a few practices this week. This is a good matchup to throw some darts in the event his usage bumps up.
