MATCHUP SUMMARY
The Cardinals will host the Rams in the fourth-highest game total of the week. With 13 games on this NFL slate there’s very little need to look at anyone but Cooper Kupp on the Rams. WIth 29 targets through two games, Kupp continues to be both a target monster and top fantasy producer. Sean McVay’s backfield was an almost even split last week and I’m out on the running backs here.
The Cardinals have looked pedestrian in a blowout loss to the Chiefs and an overtime win against the Raiders. The Rams defense has also gotten off to a slow start but the Arizona offensive production has been widely spread out thus far. James Conner is Questionable for this game. The Cardinals’ backfield usage was an even split after he left the game last week between Eno Benjamin and Darrel Williams; I prefer the price on Benjamin but don’t know if this is a spot to target on a big slate. My favorite play on the Arizona side is Zach Ertz. Ertz is fully healthy, has a strong connection with Kyler Murray and saw 11 targets last week.
THE DFS GEMS
COOPER KUPP, RAMS, $9,900 on DraftKings. Massive volume and usage but not a priority for me at the price with other options on the slate.
ZACH ERTZ, CARDINALS, $4,600 on DraftKings. Still priced at a discount for his expected volume at a difficult position.
KYLER MURRAY, $7,300 on DraftKings. Not my favorite option at the position but has rushing upside.
