 MATCHUP SUMMARY

Huge game for two teams starting the season out miserable. The Raiders blew a huge lead in the 2nd half to start 0-2. Meanwhile the Titans were mauled by Buffalo and likewise are 0-2. Already in a difficult spot to make the playoffs the loser of this game is almost certain to be sitting post season out.

The offense for the Raiders has been stagnant at best. Finding the rhythm has been a struggle in the first two games. Derek Carr has been solid fantasy wise but I question his consistency. The first 6 quarters of the year he was locked into Davante Adams and completely ignored him the 2nd half against Arizona. Darren Waller has been solid but Carr needs to find the balance between he and Adams. Josh Jacobs has struggled early and is a key need in order to complete the balance required offensively. Watch the news on Hunter Renfrow as he is questionable. I actually like the Raiders side of Carr, Adams and Waller if Renfrow is out. This could be a get well week against a dismal secondary.

The Titans have been pathetic. As Derrick Henry goes so will the team. Unfortunately until Ryan Tanehill can become consistent teams will stack the box forcing him to beat them. The lone bright spot for the Titans has been Treylon Burks and I question his price for his output so far. If the Titans are going to be productive they somehow need the defense to step up and help the offense. They need good field position and to be playing from the lead verse behind. Minus Henry the offensive weapons for the Titans are a mess. Robert Woods isn’t a #1 receiver and the tight ends are average at best.

THE DFS GEMS

Derek Carr, Raiders-$5,900 If the Titans can keep this competitive, I have my doubts, this could be a flop lag game for the Carr who burned many last week.

Davantae Adams, Raiders-$8,400 Sentence. . . For his price and productivity last week I expect Adams to be lower owned. Just like Carr this is a great spot to revert back to week one numbers.

Derek Henry, Titans-$8100  Sentence. . . Like Adams this should be a spot we’re Henry make a nice low owned pivot. The pressure is on him to carry this team. He still has huge fantasy upside. Pairing Adams and Henry together is risky but huge upside and leverage in tournaments.
