MATCHUP SUMMARY
The Cardinals head into Vegas looking to bounce back after being carved up 44-21 by the Chiefs. It’s difficult to take much out of that game as the Cardinals got down early and were thrown off rhythm completely. Greg Dortch saw nine targets last week and will be popular, but Zach Ertz should be a full go this week and may impact Dortch’s role. Still, with Rondale Moore and Andy Isabella ruled out for week 2 Dortch is a viable play. Arizona should once again have to play from behind in this game making their pass catchers my main focus.
Davante Adams had an immediate impact in Las Vegas, garnering 17 targets and having a massive game in last week’s 24-19 loss to the Chargers. It’s hard for me to get excited about the other playmakers in the Vegas offense given Adams’ massive usage, which I expect to continue. J.J. Watt could return and that would be a boost to the Cardinals’ defense, but they’re still shaping up as one of the worst in the league.
THE DFS GEMS
DAVANTE ADAMS, LV, $8,600 on DraftKings. Adams amassed 10 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown on a massive 17 targets. He’s one of the top plays on the slate.
DEREK CARR, LV, $6,200 on DraftKings. Car faced heavy pressure and was sacked five times by the revamped Chargers offense. He should have an easier go of it against Arizona’s defense.
ZACH ERTZ, LV, $4,500 on DraftKings. After playing only 39 snaps last week, Ertz is not listed on the injury report ahead of this matchup. He had a great chemistry with Kyler Murray after coming over from Philadelphia last season and could supplant Dortch as the target hog this week.
