MATCHUP SUMMARY
Deshaun Watson is coming off a fluky 21.9 DK point performance against the Commanders where he threw just 18 times but had 3 TD passes. Even at his 5600 price tag, I have zero interest in him this week. I also wont be on RB Nick Chubb here at 7500. He hasn’t gotten more than 23 DK since week 8. The Steelers have the 4th ranked rushing d DVOA according to football outsiders.
I am not thrilled with the WR for the Browns either. Amari Cooper would be the only one I could play. He ran pure last week catching 2 TDs on only 4 targets. Donovan People-Jones is too expensive to take a shot on here in this run heavy offense. TE David Njoku hasn’t gotten more than 5.8 DK points in each of the last 3 weeks. I do like the Browns DST quite a bit this week at only 2800.
QB Kenny Pickett hasn’t gotten more than 19.1 DK this season and is out of play for me this week as well. RB Najee Harris is one of my favorite RB plays on the week as the Steelers push to make the playoffs. The Browns have the 29th ranked rushing D DVOA according to football outsiders. I also don’t hate Jaylen Warren here either if you need the 1700 salary relief. He saw 40% of the snaps last week.
Both Dionte Johnson and George Pickens are fringe options for me this week. I doubt I have either one on a main team as I much prefer the running game here. TE Pat Freiermuth is my favorite pass catcher for the steelers at only 3800. He has 14 targets over the last 2 weeks. I also like the Steelers DST this week at 3200.
THE DFS GEMS
BROWNS, DST – $2,800 on DraftKings. Tag is too cheap for this divisional matchup which projects to be low scoring.
NAJEE HARRIS, PIT – $6,100 on DraftKings. One of the best RB matchup on the board this week. Too cheap for his role.
STEELERS, DST – $3,200 on DraftKings. Another DST I like this week in this low scoring affair.
