MATCHUP SUMMARY
The Giants went on the road last week and got a huge win vs the Commanders to improve their playoff chances. The Giants won this game by only having 288 total yards. Kayvon Thibodeaux’s fumble recovery early in the 2nd quarter set the tone and then Saquon Barkley found the box just before half giving the Giants a 14-3 lead. Richie James led the team in receiving, catching 4 passes for 42 yards. Saquon Barkley carried the ball 18 times for 87 yards and 1 touchdown. Barkley also added in 5 catches for 33 yards in the passing game.
The Vikings come off the biggest comeback in NFL history last week as they were down 33-0 at halftime. Cousins went on the throw for 460 yards and 4 touchdowns. Justin Jefferson caught a team on 12 passes for 123 yards and 1 touchdown, but it was KJ Osborn that led the team in yards, catching 10 passes for 157 yards and one touchdown. Dalvin Cook nearly hit 100+ yards both rushing and receiving totaling 95 yards in both categories and scored 1 touchdown. Adam Thielen and TJ Hockenson both only caught 3 passes in the game.
We get the Vikings inside the dome again this week and I always like to target Justin Jefferson as he is debatably the best wide receiver in the league. The Vikings have one of the highest team totals on the board this week and is a place to look for fantasy goodness. KJ Osborne’s usage has been on the rise over the past 2 weeks and has found the endzone in back-to-back games. He remains a value target at only 4.5K and should be considered. The Giants rank 31st DVOA vs the run and Dalvin Cook has a fair tag of only 7.2K. I will be looking to play a couple of these Giants pass catchers as one-offs vs this bad pass defense.
THE DFS GEMS
Justin Jefferson, MIN – $9,300 on DraftKings. Justin Jefferson is the best wideout in the league and is only 342 yards away from breaking the single-season receiving yards record.
Dalvin Cook, MIN – $7,200 on DraftKings. The Volume has been there for Cook and he finally put up a big game of 28 DK points last week. Great matchup here vs the 31st-ranked DVOA team against the rush.
Richie James, NYG – $3,900 on DraftKings. James is a solid value option this week playing the slot vs a terrible pass defense. James caught 7 for 61 and a touchdown vs the Eagles 2 weeks ago.
