MATCHUP SUMMARY
Traveling to Dallas, the Eagles will be without their old MVP front runner Jalen Hurts (8.3K) and now led by Gardner Minshew (4.8K) who has been more than capable in his recent NFL starts. Being as this game takes place in Jerry World, it will avoid a lot of the weather issues which plague the slate making this a spot we can target from a DFS perspective.
Starting with PHI, Miles Sanders (6.2K) is coming off of one of the most strange starts ever, having only taken his first carry late into the 2nd quarter. This resulted in a season worst fantasy performance only posting 2.9 FPTs. Against a tough Dallas defense, I’ll approach the PHI RB situation with caution. Dallas Goedert (4.5K) who Minshew has shown rapport with is set to make his return to join the receiving corps of A.J. Brown (8.1K), DeVonta Smith (6.6K) and Quez Watkins (3.6K). Since Minshew is so cheap, double stacking with him should not be an issue with my favorites being Goedert and A.J. Brown.
On the opposite side, DAL and Dak Prescott (6.1K) will look to rebound after an overtime loss to the Jaguars last week. Tony Pollard’s (7K) price continues to rise over Ezekiel Elliot’s (6K) as he out-touches him slightly week to week. Pollard would be my preference of the two, as would be the fields. CeeDee Lamb (7.5K) continues to lead the passing corps along with Dalton Schultz (4.2K). Noah Brown (3.6K) caught 2 touchdowns last week and put up 22.9 FPTs but I won’t bank on that again and focus on Michael Gallup (4.2K) if trying to play a cheap DAL WR. The possible insertion of T.Y. Hilton (3.2K) might muddy things up with those said cheap WRs though so be aware. Overall, I will have a ton of interest in this game for DFS and will be overweight on many pieces as they will be coming with ownership anyways.
THE DFS GEMS
A.J. Brown, PHI – $8,100 on DraftKings. DAL’s secondary was torched last week by Zay Jones so ABJ should firmly be in play as his ceiling is the highest of anyone’s on the slate. Plus he will be relatively low owned in this game.
Gardner Minshew II, PHI – $4,800 on DraftKings. Likely one of the highest owned QBs on this weekend’s slate but is too cheap and will be in an elite game environment.
Dalton Schultz, DAL – $4,200 on DraftKings. Schultz is coming off of one of his lowest target weeks at 4 last week, however, he did play on almost 100% on snaps and is Dak’s security blanket.
